You can user Grapevine for free.  There are no setup charges or monthly fees.  We charge an advertising fee if you successfully complete a transaction online.  You are free to add all products in your inventory and locations without restriction or cost.

Grapevine has partnered with PayPal to enable wineries and retailers in the Direct-to-Consumer market to sell wine online.  100% of transaction proceeds are sent to your PayPal account subject to PayPal transaction fees outlined in your merchant account agreement.

Yes, our payment partner, PayPal, charges transaction fees.  You will need to review your PayPal merchant agreement to review your fee schedule.

Google Sites -- With the Google Sites option, Google will host your store with your Google Apps for Business account.  Up to ten users are free for this service and there are no hosting fees.  

Existing Web presense -- You can also link your store to an existing website or Facebook fan page.  Also, no fees for this service.

Shipping wine Direct-to-Consumers can be somewhat complex.  We've worked hard to minimize to setup of payments and inventory management, but there are a few things to keep in mind when selling wine online.

Federal and State Shipping laws -- each state has there own reporting requirements  and licensing for shipment of alcohol to consumers.  A good resource to review, prior to startup of your direct-to-consumer business is The Wine Institute.  The Wine Institute provides a detailed listing of each states direct shipping laws and reporting requirements.

There are no fees to use Grapevine marketplace.  In the future, we will offer advertising options to help promote your products and brand.  

Grapevine is optimized for US based small to mid size wineries and wine retailers.  Large retail chains can use the service too.  If you are a large winery or retailer you may want to utilize our local shopping engine, but look to a large integrator or agency to develop your social commerce initiative.  

Grapevine keeps order history for all customer transactions.  Order history can be viewed in the user area under order history or follow the link in the footer below.  A user can click on any orders they have made to view the status provided by the seller.  Sellers are required to acknowledge orders within 48 hours of placement.  When orders are shipped, customers are notified.  

Grapevine does not sell wine online, we provide a tools and a venue where Federal and State licensed wineries and wine retailers can sell wine online.  All transaction reporting for tax collection and regulatory requirements is done by the seller or sellers service provider.

MultiPay is a system that sends payments directly to a sellers merchant account.  MultiPay enables wine businesses to sell wine direct-to-consumers from their website, Facebook, blog, Grapevine Marketplace, or other web venue.  100% of transaction proceeds are sent to the licensee subject to transactions fees associated with their merchant account agreement.

Yes, you can cut and paste a few lines of code into your Facebook fan page to display a few special offers or you can link your entire catalog.

No, we recognize the majority of wine buyers browse online and pick up at local stores.  When you add your products to Grapevine, you can choose to display them on any web channel such as Facebook, your website, or the Grapevine Marketplace.   When adding products simply choose "local pick up only" in your shipping areas.

In the Seller Hub, sellers are able to select the states or counties they are licensed to ship to.  

That's fine, in the Seller Hub, choose the "local pick up only" option.  When buyers are searching for local wine inventory, deals, or promotions, they will see your wine in their search results.

Linking you to social media sites.  Grapevine connects you social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.  With Grapevine, you can list your inventory right on your Facebook fan page.  Also, you can link your facebook and twitter accounts through our auto posting feature.  Post once and display everywhere.

Blog sharing -- Autopost your blog to Twitter and Facebook.  With Google Sites options, users can subscribe to announcements pages to be notified when you update your blog, specials, or events.

Gift cards/vouchers -- offer electronic vouchers and gift cards from your website, Facebook, or the Grapevine Marketplace.

Social sharing -- Any products listed for sale in your catalog, can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, and many other social sharing services.

Yes and Yes.  You can embed Grapevine into your existing webpages, Facebook fan pages, blog, etc.  If you choose the Google Sites option, you can eliminate hosting fees alltogether, and use the Google Sites tools to edit and manager your site.

Yes.  If you choose to move your site to Google Sites, your web address will be https://sites.google.com/a/yourwinebusiness/yourwebsite.  You can purchase or move a .com webaddress to Google Sites at anytime.  This web address will look like this: www.yourwinebusinessname.com
